Albums

The Hot Rats have several albums available individually and collectively.

They can be purchased on line by contacting Celtic Ceramics & Crafts.

The first offering was a cassette entitled 'The Hot Rats with Doug Hudson' which featured Ian, Dougie, Mick and Rico with lead electric guitar from Steve Shorey and some fiddle and keyboard work from Ian's sister, Val.

The first Hot Rats CD was recorded 'live' at the Prince of Wales pub in Strood. Ian's cousin Wayne designed the cover with distinctive Rat logo and the 13 tracks are as follows:

Doug Hudson's songs have received a lot of interest and Peter Learmouth - a former member of Tundra, and collaborator with Doug's comedy ventures - produced the solo album 'Happy Now?' which was recorded over a period of five years.

  Ian Cutler has just recorded his own solo album which is called 'Slaughterhouse'. There are some interesting musicians on this new album, including Steeleye Span's Peter Knight, Hugh Crabtree from Feast of Fiddles, Carlton Hunt (the drummer with Bad Manners), Colin Reece, who used to play with Ian in the Bully Wee Band and Charlotte de Speville vocalising on Mercedes with S.J plus the usual Rats in one form or another.
